Moodle Quiz Submission Notification

Configuring this option in your quiz allows for an email to be sent to the student confirming that their attempt has finished successfully.

The notification emails in the Moodle quiz are disabled by default but if you wanted students to receive a confirmation email, please follow these instructions:

Allow confirmation messages to students:

1. To do this for an individual quiz, go to: Course Management > Quiz administration > Permissions

2. In the Capability column under Activity: Quiz find the capability mod/quiz:emailconfirmsubmission
   (Tip: add the text in italics to the Filter to find it quicker)

3. Click on the +
   
   

   Open

   

4. On the next screen, select Student from the list of options.
   
   

   Open

   

5. Once students have submitted their answers to the quiz, they will receive an email confirming that their answers have been saved.
