Grader Report Export from Moodle
This report includes Student ID numbers
The 'Grader report' contains the grades for each student in a course. When you add an assessed item to a Moodle course, the gradebook automatically creates space for the grades it will produce, and adds the grades themselves as they are generated, either by the system or by you.
The Grader Report export now contains Student ID numbers to help you identify the correct student.
Once marking and feedback have been completed, and have been released to students, a grader report can be exported from Moodle.
Moodle Assignments
With Anonymous submissions, students cannot see the final grade until all the students' names have been revealed by the Tutor, and the grades are then automatically pushed into the Moodle Gradebook.
To reveal student names after you have finished grading, look under Assignment settings > Grading action > Reveal student identities.
Turnitin Assignments:
With Anonymous submissions, students cannot see the final grade and feedback until the Turnitin Post Date has been reached (in the example below the Post Date is 15 December 2022 10:50. Normally the Post Date would be three weeks after the Due Date; allowing enough time for marking). During this automated process, students’ names are revealed, and the grades are automatically pushed into the Moodle Gradebook.
Accessing the Moodle Gradebook:
To access the student grades, click on the Course Management cog
Then click on the ‘Grades’ option in the ‘Students’ column.
You will notice the grades have been transferred from the two assignments into the grade book (see below). Click on the Grader report drop down and scroll down to Export > Excel Spreadsheet.
Click ‘Download’.
First name, Surname, Student ID, Assignment names, course total fields are presented.
