Moodle Dashboard
Your new Dashboard has many features to help you easily access the information most important to you.
Course Overview
The Course overview block shows all the courses that you are enrolled in.
You can filter your courses to in progress, past or the future, or courses which you have starred or hidden.
Quick Tip
See which filter best works for you. If you find that you have courses in view that you don’t want to see here, it is now possible to hide the course.
You can choose to star a course to make it stand out or hide a course which is no longer important to you.
You can also choose to display the courses in a list, or with summary information, or the default 'card' view.
Courses may be sorted by course name or by last accessed date.
Timeline Block
The Timeline block shows your important upcoming events.
You can choose to show activities in the next week, month, or further into the future.
You can also show items which are overdue. Sort by date or by courses.
Recently Accessed Courses Block
The Recently accessed courses block shows the courses that you last visited, allowing you to jump straight back in.
Customising Your Course
By clicking on Customise this course, you can use the cross arrows on each of the block titles to move around your dashboard. These actions only affect your view. Note: If you are moving round blocks on your module course, this will affect all users in that course.
To return back to your normal view, click on Stop customising this page
Quick Tip
You may have noticed that you can see images of courses in some of the screenshots above. In this new upgrade, it is possible to add course images to your module course page. Once you have added it to your course page, you will see this on your dashboard too. See the Moodle Setting up your Course guide to find out how you can do this.
