Inactive Enrolments on Moodle Pages
Problem
Previously, when a student was removed from a module in SITS, the Moodle module automatically deleted them from the course. This made it difficult to retain historical records, activity data, and access to completed work.
Change (IT-30126)
Students now appear as inactive on the Moodle page. Inactive users cannot access their courses, but their data is retained so they can return later if needed. This preserves the work of students who have left and may need to be reviewed in future. Suspended users still appear in the gradebook; in Grader report preferences, teachers can choose to show only active users or all users, including suspended ones.
Inactive students in Moodle are still synced to PebblePad Workspaces
Reactivating an account:
Administrators will automatically reactivate accounts. Academics do not need to change any Moodle settings.
